Got back to Australia yesterday morning. Had a nice relaxing day with the family (and Ben who decided to tag along since he helped me bring things back from Japan when he went over).

Un-packing was a pain, it’s amazing how much you can accumulate in just one year. I had given Helen and Ben luggage to take home for me, sent back a 10kg box and of course had my own 25 kilogram check in luggage and 10 kg carry on. It freaked my parents out how you couldn’t walk around or spot me while everything was flung open in my room.

Still I managed to sort things out, had a nice banquet of beef (which was too expensive to do too often back in Japan), called tonnes of relatives and finally had some time to myself to sleep some of it all off.

The craziest thing about leaving a country after staying for so long is how many owari-kai, or farewell parties you have to go to.

Things have been rather busy, I’ve been hanging out with friends and relaxing but not really getting computer time, but of course I promised myself I’d at least get the photos up and round up 2007 before the year ends. I didn’t quite make it… but better a little later then never ay? So for now here are some short posts of all the remaining events of 2007 on Bob’s Japan Stay trip. I’ll do my usual elaboration when I get around to each one.
